Project Management 

MAJOR PROJECTS

2003: Assigned to Sheriff’s Office Homeland defense team – Responsible for assessing security at critical infrastructure throughout Montgomery County. Develop and implement training for deputies on response procedures for attacks on critical infrastructure. 

2005 to 2009: Initiated a project to construct a new training facility in Denhill. Coordinated building projects between the four member agencies managing the purchasing and budgeting of $48,000 annually. Presented project updates to the Board of Supervisors and coordinated construction with the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality. 

 

2016: Established new procedures for SWAT taking the team from full dynamic entry to the surround and callout model

 

2017:  Incorporated the Narcotics Unit and Warrants Unit into Investigations

 

2021:  Wrote policy and implemented department wide training for new procedures surrounding obtaining and executing search warrants under new Virginia law.

 

2021:  Budgeted for a $180,000 body camera and interview room recording contract

 

2022: Proposed, budgeted for and implemented a polygraph program for the Sheriff’s Office including equipment purchasing, training, and developing policy.
